Um... OOPS!!!

I can't explain without telling a story, so here it goes...

Taiso, Anemonet, and I all went out to Fei'Yin yesterday to attempt to kill the archlich and his minions to complete cities mission 5-1.  Things went badly from the very start, and before I could cast a single spell (including reraise), I was killed by half a dozen skellies.  (>_<)

While the boys waited patiently, I HPed back to Whitegate, rushed to the AH, and tried to buy the items we'd need to try again... only to discover I was out of inventory space because I had chosen to keep all my level 75 gear on me as well as the level 50 gear, plus the usual various necessities: sneak, invis, warp, RR, food, etc.

I looked at the "etc" items, and realized that I still had some useless items on me that I thought I'd dropped off with my moogle.  You know the kind: a beehive chip, a sheep tooth, a flint stone, etc.  In my hurry to get back to the guys to raise them and try the fight again, I started tossing stuff.  Apparantly, I was more concerned with reading /tells and /party speak than actually paying attention to what I was tossing.  I did catch myself right before I chucked my shiny new 99 stack of imperial silver pieces.  I didn't think anything of it, and returned to buying the goodies our little PT would need for a second attempt.

This morning, as I'm getting ready to take a shower, Taiso hollers from the den, "Honey, did you break the LS?"
My reply: "Uhhhhhhh......uh oh"
Taiso: "What?"
Me: "Uhh... I... dunno.  Maybe?"
Taiso: "What do you mean, you don't know?"
Me: "Why?  What's going on?"  (I was stalling at this point, trying to remember...)
Taiso: "Well, my pearl doesn't work.  Says the shell's been broken."
Me: ".....  .....  .....  shitaru.  <(>_<)>"  (paraphrased)

SO!
I apparantly broke the OA LS.

Before rumors started flying, I thought I'd better post the whole thing here.  It wasn't a "screw them" move on my part... it was more of a "let's show them what an idiot you are" move.  /slap self

If anyone would like to take up the mantle and restart the LS, I'm willing to fork over the cost of a new shell.

Apologies to all!!!  I guess it was just time for one of those "DURRRR!" moments that seem to come around on a semi-regular basis.  I suppose I'm glad it's been a couple years since I made a bad boo-boo (the last one was a nasty mis-bid on the AH that cost me several thousand gil), but it stinks that this one inconveniences a number of people.
