Change in LS Leadership
by ~Kiela-StarcatcherAs of May 15th, 2008, Eirwen (dhkite) will be in charge of the Odin's Artists LS on FFXI.
This major change is going to seem a bit sudden, and for that I apologize. But I want the OA members to know that this is something I've been thinking about for several weeks now, and after talking to Taiso and Eirwen and sorting out a few details, I really think this is the best thing I could do for you guys.
Don't get me wrong - I love the people in OA. I have no problem with anyone, and no one is "driving me away" or anything. My game schedule is just such that now it's almost like a full time job. I have events every single night of the week, and I have to squash my own goals (leveling, meriting, finishing quests and missions, etc) in whatever time is left over. That leaves me with essentially zero time left over for OA, and that's just not fair to you guys. You deserve someone who has more time to be an active part of the LS, not someone who just pops in once a week for 10 minutes to make an appearance and make sure the kids haven't set the house on fire while I was gone!
Odinsartists is a social LS, and I don't have the luxury of offering social support right now. I feel badly that I'm not there to help the LS members. To provide assistance. Advice. A sounding board for ideas. A port for venting. A real leader should be able to be all those things, and I cannot.
Since Eirwen has played such an active role in LS business, started the Odinsartist DA page, and has always shown a strong desire to help the LS members and make the group stronger, it's only natural that I turned to him for help. Please treat him with the same respect you have always shown me, and please help to maintain the spirit of OA by helping each other and having fun. I'm absolutely certain that the LS will blossom under Eir's leadership from a tentative bud into a beautiful garden. (^_^) b
For now, Eirwen has asked that I keep the shell so that we don't have to break it and start all over. I will still be around to assist with creating/breaking sacks as needed, and you can always send me a tell. Chances are I'll be occupied with one thing or another, but I'm always happy to say hello to old friends (and new ones, too!).
My gratitude to Eirwen for accepting this responsibility (with a smile, no less!). Many, many, MANY thanks to all the OA members who have helped us build the LS into a fun place for creative gamers to spend time and have fun. And my humble apologies for starting something I wasn't able to maintain. I wish all of you the very best that life and game have to offer. *Huggles* all around!

Don't make your schedule too occupied. Dare to say 'no' to events when you're not up for them. Missing an event or two doesn't hurt, right?
